Hello, my name is Andrew King and I am the President and Owner of Complete Payroll Services. My job is to empower my employees by cheering them on, providing the right technical solutions, and sharing my knowledge.
Which payroll platform does your business currently use?
We use UKG and Execupay.
Before partnering with detamoov, what were the biggest challenges you faced?
When clients wanted integrations or data sent to a 3rd party, it was a lot of research of if there was a prebuilt integration. If there was, they were usually costly to implement and if there wasn't a prebuilt integration, we had to sell around the issue.
Why did you choose detamoov?
I trust Rick Hymanson more than any vendor I have worked with and I liked the quick, hands-on support to get the first batch of integrations/moovs live. It felt like they were a partner and helping us get everything over the finish line, instead of giving us a software and leaving us to it.
How have things changed with detamoov?
Moving into more integrations than just retirement has been very beneficial for us. We now have clients integrating with ATS vendors, timekeeping systems, and benefit enrollment platforms. Also, it is easier to create custom integrations compared to when we started.
What measurable improvements have you seen since using detamoov?

We have way fewer errors on 401ks than we did before due to no manual entry by payroll specialists. We have generated more revenue from billing for the services, especially the QBO integration. We've signed more clients because of our integration capabilities.
What advice would you give to new detamoov users to help them get the most value from the platform?
Assign a single person as the subject matter expert for detamoov, so they can really learn the system before bringing in other users. Try working through one carrier integration for several clients vs jumping from carrier to carrier. The repetition will help. Understand that it will take time to get the hang of it and that working with each carrier/integration partner can be different.
