Would you briefly introduce yourself and share your role within your organization?
My name is Laura McDonald, and I have been an Implementation Specialist for the past seven years with HRO Resources, which was recently acquired by G&A Partners. In my role, I worked closely with clients who had outside retirement vendors and helped implement the detamoov feed to streamline the process of sending payroll data to their retirement providers. This helped improve efficiency and reduce manual processes for both our clients and internal teams.

Before partnering with detamoov, what were the biggest challenges you faced?
Before partnering with detamoov, one of our biggest challenges was ensuring that all payroll files were successfully submitted to the retirement vendors without errors. This included managing both regular and off-cycle payrolls, which required careful tracking to make sure nothing was missed and that contributions were reported accurately.
Why did you choose detamoov?
We chose detamoov because it integrates directly with our payroll platform and already had established feeds with many of the retirement vendors our clients use. This made the implementation process much smoother and allowed us to streamline payroll data transmission without needing to build custom connections for each vendor.
How have things changed with detamoov?
Since implementing detamoov, the process has improved dramatically. Much of the manual work has been eliminated, which has significantly reduced errors and the time previously spent identifying and correcting them. Overall, the process is now much more efficient and reliable.
What measurable improvements have you seen since using detamoov?

Since implementing detamoov, the time previously spent manually uploading payroll files to retirement vendors has been eliminated, along with many of the errors that could occur during manual processing. It has also supported our sales process by giving clients peace of mind knowing that their payroll data will be transmitted automatically once payroll is finalized.
What advice would you give to new detamoov users to help them get the most value from the platform?
My advice to new detamoov users would be to build a strong relationship with your assigned representative and utilize them whenever you have questions. Laurie Beppel was my contact, and she made the entire process stress-free and easy. She was always willing to walk me through setting up new feeds and even assisted with setting up a vendor they had not worked with before, which was a lifesaver.
